Abhorrent Abyss
Abhorrent Abyss is a UE4 game I created for my Studio 2/3 classes at SCAD along with my teammates in our group, Hive Mind. In this game, the player is a fallen Eldritch god, having lost his memories in a fight against the Old One. By avoiding horrible creatures in the cave depths and combating bosses of Lovecraftian power, the player slowly regains pages of the Necronomicon in order to return the world to its natural state. My job within this project was sole Programmer. Every bit of code, from Player Mechanics to Boss AI to Menu Interactions, was done by myself to keep the game functioning and make it run as smoothly as possible. I also worked with our animation team to be our Mocap Actor, acting out the animations for the player and bosses as well as assisting with the Anim BPs. This project was a lot of work, but I am very proud of how it turned out as my final Senior Project at SCAD! Above is a link to our project website which goes much further in-depth.
